So Much More – Why Home Educated Children DON’T Lose Out

It is my belief that young children benefit most from being raised by their parents and (if fortunate) their close family, as used to be common place no so long ago.

Children need play. They also need the love and security the majority of invested parents want to give. Unconditionally. Parents want the best for their children. There are some that don’t, of course but we’re not talking about those today. Good parents care about everything to do with their kids. Their happiness, health, experiences.

A home educating family doesn’t lose out. They gain. 16000+ hours of extra time with each other in this beautiful, messy life! I love that my family don’t miss out on that.

Seeing first-hand how they grow more confident and experienced each day as they edge closer to becoming independent young adults. Why would I want to miss that? Why would I want someone else to get all that time and input into my child?

Having and raising my children is my job. The diversity of our world relies upon individual families raising unique children by passing on their own values and morals. That’s what creates a rich tapestry. Not everyone simply knowing the same things with nothing to share that’s different.

Real world living, as life unfolds. My children are a part of that. Do I worry they are not socialised or that they lack education? I can confidently say that I’ve never heard anything more ignorant or ridiculous. And it isn’t my job to convince anyone, why. I’m busy looking after my own.
