BETWIXT – Christmas Poetry

BETWIXT

The indulgent days between.
Lethargically stuffed, comatose lolling ensues.
All content.
Exhale.

Mama sitting quietly, in the glow of tree branches and baubles. Obligatory thanks and compliments for gifts, timings and turkey graciously received.
Grateful and satisfied.

Still, I know she wishes now, that we could start again those Christmas days and let her have a turn reminiscent of the ones, she used to have.

Once Upon A Time.
