When I try to explain Un/homeschooling to those who ask about it, I often wonder if it doesn’t sound as if we’re doing nothing much.
When life is happening it’s easy to reply when asked “What have you done today?” with “Nothing much.”
Same as when you pick your kid up from school and ask them about their day. “Nothing much. I don’t know.”
But if you’re the one who is there with them as their life happens and their learning journey unfolds, you know exactly what they’ve been up and so it doesn’t matter so much when they say that. Because you know exactly what they did. And chances are they will absorb/process the bits that were relevant, worthwhile, interesting and useful to them naturally. Just because. They are just living and learning.

The girls had fun figuring out a zip line to get chocolate eggs across the “river” this week. Also learning splits ahead of an upcoming new dance class, sampling Easter baked treats, revamping their bedrooms and playing with logic and construction toys whilst sharing one of our read alouds, The BFG.
