POETRY – Disinclined

I thought I was lonely, but
I found I just needed to be alone.

Away.
By myself.
With my thoughts, in my van.
Without people
And their assumptions of me.

Just me.
My pen and my paper.

The large, take away, coffee house cup,
That allowed me to refil it to the brim line.
When I needed to pee,
But didn’t want to go home.
