Rhythm Of Life

Nothing could be more beautiful than watching children thrive without unnecessary pressure.

Sure we have a rhythm to our days. Some days we even have a schedule to keep to, if appointments or errands demand it. The girls may have goals that they are working towards that require commitment or time keeping. And even competition can come into play.

Looking to the future is good. Having a plan is nice. But, the time is now. Time to enjoy and be alive. I try not to worry about next year or what the next five years will bring. Life is too short for that kind of thinking!

I am thankful my children have the opportunity and space to become who they will one day be. Without the expectation that they should hate a parent, detest a subject, feel themselves stupid, ugly or unworthy and choose a career before they are ready. Disconnect from nature, the earth and ignore their mental well-being.

Their current way of life offers a rhythm that teaches me, as I watch them, what life is truly about.
